It's a small crew this week, but not going to stop us from mourning Michigan getting cheated out of a win against Ohio. You and I know the refs had it in for Michigan. We also talk about the big controversy in the league. Is ediddy trying to lose games so he can win the $50 space bucks? Did he take a dive against Franchise, because everyone knows you can't lose to Franchise unless it's on purpose. All that and so much more. Thanks for downloading and listening, enjoy! I know I'm late to the party but it's very exciting to see that Final Fantasy XII is being released on the PS4. It was the last good Final Fantasy game made since VIII. There is a bunch of new stuff being added to the game and I don't feel like writing them all down, so just go to my number one source for Final Fantasy news, Forbes.com link below. http://www.forbes.com/sites/rahilbhagat/2016/06/06/final-fantasy-12-hd-remaster-confirmed-for-2017-release/#474c80135c7b
Ediddy999 salvaged a win in game 3 of Battle of the Bums to avoid the sweep. It was a pitching duel that somehow ediddy999 won with his worst pitcher. It makes no sense, but that's baseball. Boxscore
It wasn't pretty for ediddy999 in game two of Battle of the Bums. After loading the bases in consecutive innings, Bourne34 cashed in when Chris Davis hit a Grand Slam to right field. It was an amazing turnaround since up to the 5th inning, Bourne didn't have a hit. Check out the highlight below. Boxscore
I know you're hyped for the Valkyria Chronicles Remastered , but Valkyria Chronicles 2 is on sale on the PSN right now. Make sure to pick up this game today. It's a better, deeper and all around more satisfying version of the original. It might not be a classic, but it's more than worth playing. It's the best $4.99 you can spend. https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/games/valkyria-chronicles-2/cid=UP0177-ULUS10515_00-VALKYRIA1937PSP1?emcid=ps-se-716&utm_medium=Paid_Search&utm_campaign=Playstation&utm_source=Bing&utm_term=ps-se-716&utm_content=Brand
It's like Christmas in May. Make sure you are one of the millions that are picking up Valkyria Chronicles Remastered, which is being released today. If you haven't played VC than you haven't lived. For all the praise and hype Uncharted 4 has gotten I wanted to make sure that my readers could get the real truth about Uncharted 4 . Here at ThePlayStationShow.com , we're not a bunch of corporate shills that are paid off to review games. We're gamers just like you. We put in a hard day's work and buy our games. We are the voice of the people and the people will be heard.
@mmarich34 tossed a gem with S. Matz, striking out 7 and @ediddy999 could only muster 3 hits, with the lone bright spot, K. Bryant, hitting a solo shot in the 4th. This was the first game of a three game series between the Cubs and Pirates, who are battling it out at the bottom of the standings. Box Score April 13, 2016 - Cubs (ediddy999) vs Pirates (Bourne34)
Do what I did and buy Uncharted: The Nathan Drake collection for cheap. It's the best $20 you can spend and get hours upon hours of the best gameplay ever created. While everyone is playing Uncharted 4 , you'll be having fun playing multiple Uncharted games. Not one, not two, but three great games at the lowest price in the history of low prices. I'm not only driving the hype train on this deal, I'm also a paying passenger. I just picked up my copy a few mins ago. Remember what I always say, if you don't remember the past you are doomed to repeat it. Well repeat it is exactly what I'm going to do. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/uncharted-the-nathan-drake-collection-playstation-4/9197137.p?id=1219700671595&skuId=9197137
It's better than I would have ever imagined. Battlefield 1 looks like the real deal. Thank you DICE for giving me something I didn't even know I wanted!
We're mere hours away from a huge Battlefield announcement and rumors are swirling all over the net. Some say they're taking it back to the World War era while others are thinking maybe an HD remake of the Bad Company Series. I'm here to break down what it needs to be and what it can't be.
I'm not sure Cinco de Mayo is a real holiday. I've heard it compared to St. Patrick's day, where everyone magically becomes Irish. Either way, go grab your sombrero and let's take a crack at this gaming pinata and see what are the best games to play on this fake Mexican holiday.
OK, so that title may be a little misleading. This is really the top Star Wars games that I have ever played. I have great taste in games so trust me when I tell you that you need to try these out it you've never played them.
The Jungle Book is a marvel to look at. Disney's live-action take on a children's classic tale is mind blowing at times. The only way to make the film feel more immersive is if we could somehow get this level of visual quality in a VR setting.
In this once thought lost footage, the Ruff Ryderz celebrate a championship over the now defunct Beast Mode Gaming Podcast crew, after they rage quit the match. You can check out their new venture The Zero Tolerance Podcast over at PunandGame.com . The Ruff Ryderz will be waiting to crush them once they step up to the plate. Good Times!
I haven't been this frustrated with a game in a very long time. I picked up Killzone: Mercenary a while ago and over the past year I've played it on and off. The other day I finally finished it and couldn't delete it fast enough.
When remote play was announced I was all like, but it never really lived up to the hype on the PSP and PlayStation 3. When it was implemented on the PS Vita and the PlayStation 4 I was like, but again I was disappointed. When I got my Wii U and saw the gamepad for the first time I was like, but Nintendo had done it right. It doesn't have the range of remote play and you cannot use it through the net. But, it just works. It's seemless with responsive controls and no pixelation. When you walk too far away from the Wii U the controller just cuts off the video completely and tells you to go back to whence you came. Recently Sony introduced remote play with the PC. Steam has had this for a while and it works pretty good as long as your have a decent PC and a nice connection. I've ran through Black Mesa this way and didn't have any problems. Why doesn't remote play on the Vita and the PS4 work this well? Some people say it's your internet or router th...
It could be time to sell your PS4. The rumored specs of the PlayStation 4.5 (codenamed NEO) might make the current PS4 obsolete and utterly worthless. Giant Bomb and Eurogamer are both confirming the same information, but what does this mean for your current PS4?
I love stats and I love sports so baseball was invented for someone like me. For a while now I've picked up MLB The Show and every year is the same, I have to update the sliders to get the perfect simulation experience without sacrificing fun. If you're just looking for stats Out of the Park Baseball is what you need, but if you want more interaction, then maybe getting under the hood of The Show is in order. It all goes down like this. I get the game on or around day one and play it for an hour or two. I always think to myself, "wow this plays great out of the box. I may not have to change a thing". Then I sit down to play more and little things start to stand out. I don't give up or get any walks, I haven't hit a home run in 5 games or my batting average is sub .200. That's when I start my yearly search for a slider set that works for me. I need something that gives me stats that mirror the real MLB but also tricks me into the feeling that I'm...
I've heard many people say the hardest thing to do in sports is hit a baseball. I somewhat agree with one caveat. The hardest thing to do in sports is hit a baseball in MLB The Show 16 .
The other day I hit level 30 in The Division and I think I hate the game now. According to the start screen I've played over 60 hours of this game and for the most part I have savored every moment. I was rolling with a crew that consisted of wanna be podcaster and now grown ass man killjoy, King_Bowser of the Zero Tolerance Podcast and occasionally geran42o. We were a crew to be reckoned with. Slamming out missions was fun and escaping the DZ with mad loot was better. But it's all gone, all because I needed to hit level 30 and experience the delicious yellow guns.
As many of you have noticed there has been a lot of activity here at ThePlayStationShow.com . We have a brand new logo, a refresh on the website and new content showing up about once a week. All of this has been happening with one thought in mind, bringing back The PlayStation Show Podcast. In 2008 when we started the podcast we had no idea that it would run for 100 plus episodes. We basically did 3 straight years of weekly episodes for your listening pleasure. That kind of consistency can be hard to maintain. At the end, as we stepped away from TPSS, the Rogue Gamer was born and had a nice run but it wasn't The PlayStation Show. Now years later we're ready to come back. It is my pleasure to announce The PlayStation Show Podcast will be returning on a weekly basis starting NOW!!!
If I was a mean-hearted person I would make a blog post about a bunch of rumors in the gaming industry. I would quote sources corroborating these rumors and find images to back up my statements. Since I'm a decent human being and care about my fellow man (I don't care a lot, but I do care) I'm not going to do that. I'll take the high road. Instead, I'm going to list the things I hope to happen and maybe they can catch on as rumors. Make sure to submit this to N4G because they love this kind of content.
At its core Zootopia is about stereotypes and how unfair they can be. A "cute" rabbit wants to be a cop, but she's a rabbit and rabbits can't be cops. Well that's what everyone keeps telling Judy Hopps. In an attempt to prove her worth she takes on a case to find a missing otter. With no resources or support from her department she enlists the help of a sly fox, Nicholas P. "Nick" Wilde . He's not a willing participant and Officer Hopps has to make sure he stays motivated to help her. An unlikely friendship is formed and although they don't realize it at first, they need each other.
Schwarber by CubFan_23 , on Flickr Then and Now Throughout the years video game baseball has produced some of the best sports games of all-time. I've been a fan for years and with MLB 16: The Show only a few days away I wanted to take a look at my favorites. Here are my top three: Ken Griffey Jr Presents Major League Baseball MVP Baseball 2005 . Here's a great Grantland article on how MVP Baseball still lives on today. MLB The Show Series
The Zero Tolerance Podcast Is Out!!! No, this isn't a podcast being released by ThePlayStationShow.com, but it is a podcast that you need to listen to. The Zero Tolerance Podcast is a new gaming podcast with your boys @Franchise_254 , @Nate_Bowser and @T3AM_DISTURB3D . These three have been TPSS Community members for a very long time and I'm very excited for their new show. They love and hate video games and want you to hear about it. The first episode had a lot of The Division talk, which I 100% endorse and some Battlefield nostalgia. Mixed in were some tidbits about games they're looking forward to or have been playing lately. I have high hopes for this podcast and you should to. It's a bunch of gamers that are going to give you an unfiltered take on the gaming industry. They're just like you and me, just gamers trying to get by. You can download their podcast at PunandGame.com which will soon have reviews, videos and other gaming related posts. ...
Three times a week and twice on Sunday I played The Golf Club . It wasn't an addiction or an obsession. I played out of appreciation for what HB Studios made. The Golf Club filled a particular void in my gaming life. It was challenging, rewarding, and a sports game that was truly trying to recreate the feeling of golf. Most games nowadays serve up everything to the player. They guide you through the rules, like riding a bike with training wheels, and text pop-ups tell you what is expected. They hold your hand until you understand the objective and limitations. This is where The Golf Club is different. It was criticized for not having a tutorial or training mode but that's what I liked the most about it! It was pure and simple. You have to hit this ball, into that hole, with this stick. Here you go. Now do it.
I'm not the biggest fan of jrps. It always seems like it's a ton of grinding and a story that is impossible to follow, so boy was I surprised when I started playing The Witch and the Hundred Knight and liked it . . . more than I should have.
The PlayStation Show's New Logo As a leader in the PlayStation podcasting community, ThePlayStationShow.com happily announces our new corporate logo. We feel that to better communicate our passion for The PlayStation Show brand it was time to evolve. Since 2008, unless someone wants to fact check this, we are the longest running PlayStation Podcast that never really talked about PlayStation. Our dedication to podcasting and PlayStation has never been stronger and we feel it is time to refresh our commitment to the community. After careful deliberation and collaboration we chose a logo that speaks not only to our devotion to The PlayStation Show brand, but also to your devotion. We wanted to make sure that our logo was truly in sync with our motto. "It's not high definition, it's Higher" isn't just a catchy phrase that makes me laugh. It's a responsibility and we believe our new logo shows how seriously we take that responsibil...
Today Sony announced the PlayStation VR will be available for $399. It requires a camera but doesn't come with one , sadface. No worries because you have plenty of time to get the $59.99 required accessory before the release this October. Check out all the videos from today's announcement!
It's dark outside and I'm scared. It's not the elements that scare me, even though I can barely see from the whiteout conditions. It's the voices that scare me. I've been out here for hours, in the Dark Zone, where no rules are the only rule. It's been a good run too. Packed away in my bag are a few blues and a couple greens. A nice day's haul.
Thanks for all that showed up for the 2016 Showies, the official awards show of ThePlayStationShow.com. It was a great night of celebration and reunion. BSmith3258 and AustinD of The PlayStation Show fame were on hand to help bring the Showies back in TPSS fashion. Although fan favorite Hamsterfist could not make it, he was with us in spirit and song. Thanks to Franchise254, King-Bowser and MMarich for being on the call! Appreciate the support and wins in the TPSNFL. Congrats to all the nominees and winners. Special thanks to the spin-off podcasts. Please hit that link and subscribe to all the shows. They deserve a listen! Who knows when we will do this again, but until next time, thanks for downloading and listening, enjoy!
