EA Sports: No Online For You

Welcome to a world split in two.  On one side the haves, and on the other the have nots.  EA Sports is introducing the online Nazi or Online Pass to access the multiplayer parts of its games.  In a way to increase revenue EA Sports is going to make you buy access if you don’t have the code, meaning used or rented games will not be able to access the full features of EA Sports titles.

What, you don’t play sports games so you don’t care.  Sit there a minute so I can slap some sense into you.  If this is the new standard of online gaming then just wait when it comes to your favorite game.  Think of a world that charges to just play online . . . oh wait we have that already, XBox Live.  Ok, just think of a world that makes you pay to enjoy content . . . oh wait we have that already, downloadable map packs.  To hell with it, it’s coming.  If it’s in the game, it’s in the game . . . you just can’t use it unless you paid for it.
